Welcome to Vernon Fire & Rescue Department

Our Mission Statement

Through professionalism, dedication, integrity and training, the Vernon Fire Department works to safeguard the lives and property and to enhance the quality of life of the citizens of Vernon. This is accomplished by providing a wide range of emergency services, strong public relations, and fire safety education. We also strive to protect and preserve the health of our membership and return our personnel safely to their families.

We are a volunteer department offering both fire protection and medical first response services, up to the AEMT level. We are also home to Fire Explorer post 411, which is open to teens from the surrounding communities who are interested in learning about the Fire Service. We are located in a small community in Southern Vermont on the Connecticut River, bordering Massachusetts & New Hampshire. Our town hosts Vermont Yankee and TransCanada power stations.

Please feel free to browse through our website. You may also visit us on Facebook and YouTube. Thank you and enjoy your visit!
